City Girls JT Won't Be Released Early, Clarifies Yung Miami

Fans who thought they heard good news about City Girls will have to delay their excitement.

After taking over global airways, the City Girls ascended from local Miami artists to viral sensations in what seemed to be a blink of an eye. Thanks to their collaboration with Drake on “In My Feelings,” the female rap duo reached the crux of their career early this summer –only for their celebrations to screech to an abrupt halt upon JT‘s looming jail sentence.

Originally set to serve until March 2019 after being convicted of credit card fraud, Yung Miami seemingly shared some good news with her fans on Wednesday (Oct. 10). “JT will be home in December,” claimed the now-deleted tweet.

After taking precautions through typical post-and-delete protocol, it seems like Yung Miami never actually tweeted that at all. Not only has the entire Twitter account disappeared from the net; according to Yung Miami’s official Instagram account, she never penned the tweet in the first place.

“I DON’T HAVE A TWITTER,” the 305 rapper wrote on her IG story, confirming that the tweet was fake news. Sigh.

Nonetheless, the Miami-born star still has hope. On Wednesday night (Oct. 10), Yung Miami posted yet another IG petitioning to free JT. Period.
